Investment Team
Amy K. Minella
is the
managing partner of Cardinal Capital. She is responsible for investment
research and portfolio management. Ms. Minella has been in the
investment industry since 1980. Prior to founding Cardinal in 1995, she
was a managing director of Deltec Asset Management where she formed both
the high yield management group in 1985 and the value equity group in
1992. Before joining Deltec in 1983, Ms. Minella was in the corporate
finance department at Merrill Lynch and in the credit department at
Chase Manhattan Bank. She holds a BA from Mount Holyoke College and a
MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Eugene Fox, III
is a managing director of Cardinal Capital responsible for investment
research and portfolio management. He has
been in the investment
industry since 1987.
Before joining Cardinal in 1995, he was a managing director of Deltec
Asset Management. Mr. Fox joined Deltec in 1993 from D.S. Kennedy &
Co., a value equity firm, where he was an investment analyst for two
years. He was with FMC Corporation from 1984 to 1991, where his
positions included director of pension investments and manager of
corporate finance. Mr. Fox holds a BA from the University of Virginia
and a MBA from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
Robert B. Kirkpatrick,
CFA, is a managing director of Cardinal Capital
responsible for investment research and portfolio management. He
has been in the investment industry since
1985. Prior to joining Cardinal in 2000, he was a co-founder of
Breeco Management L.P., a value-oriented equity investment firm.
Previously, he held senior investment positions at Unifund S.A., a
global private investment company, Bigler Investment Management and
CIGNA Corporation. Mr. Kirkpatrick received his BA in economics from
Williams College and holds the CFA professional designation.
Rachel D. Matthews
is a senior research analyst at Cardinal Capital. She has
been in the
investment industry since 1989.
Prior to joining Cardinal in 2001, she was a high yield bond trader at
Oppenheimer Funds, Inc. from 1996 to 1999. She traded U.S. government
securities at HSBC Securities from 1994 to 1996. Previously, she was a
private placement credit analyst at the Mutual Life Insurance Company of
New York. Ms. Matthews holds a BA from Columbia University and a MBA
from New York University.
Chitra Sundaram joined
Cardinal Capital as a
research
analyst in 2005. She has been in the investment industry since 1998.
Ms. Sundaram’s previous buyside experience includes work as a senior
consumer analyst at J.P. Morgan Fleming Asset Management. She also
covered commercial printing and publishing small and mid-cap stocks as a
sell-side analyst for four years at Goldman Sachs & Co. Before her move
to the U.S, Chitra worked as a senior management accountant for ANZ
Grindlays Bank in India and as a senior audit officer for M/s Sharp &
Tannan, India’s fifth largest audit firm. She is a Chartered Accountant
(India) and has a MBA from New York University.
Christopher W.
Robertson
joined Cardinal Capital as a
research analyst in 2007.
He has been in the investment industry since 1998.
Prior to joining Cardinal, he worked at Credit Suisse from 2000
to 2007 as an analyst on the HOLT team (CS's proprietary valuation and
strategy group) and on both the media and transportation sell-side
research teams. Previously, he was a member of
Prudential Securities auto sell-side research team. Mr. Robertson holds
a BA from the University of Rochester and a MBA from Columbia University
Graduate School of Business.
Kathleen C. Gray
joined Cardinal Capital as a
trader in 2007. She has been in the investment industry since 1986.
Previously she was an equity trader for Simms Capital Management.
Before joining Simms Capital she worked on the corporate fixed income
desk at Smith Barney. Kathleen holds a BS from Rowan University and
Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses.
Marketing
Mary W. Chang,
CFA, is the marketing associate at Cardinal Capital. Prior to Cardinal she was with PriceWaterhouseCoopers
Management Consulting Services from 1998 to 2001. Ms. Chang holds a BS
from Cornell University and a M. Eng from the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology. She holds the CFA professional
designation.
Administration
Thomas J. Spelman
is a Managing Director of Cardinal Capital and the firms chief administrative and
financial officer. He is responsible for all back office and corporate finance operations.
Prior to Cardinal, he was with Louis Dreyfus Corporation between 1973 and 1998, where his
positions included financial operations manager between 1984 and 1998. Mr. Spelman holds a
BS from Villanova University and a MBA from New York University.
Karyn
J. Klein is an operations associate at Cardinal Capital. Ms. Kleins prior
positions include operations manager for a hedge fund specializing in G-7 fixed
income markets, repurchase desk manager for international commodities firm financing fixed
income securities, and coordinator of trade settlement operations for equities,
derivatives, fixed income and mortgage-backed securities. Ms. Klein has
more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Randye S. Kapp is the administrative associate at Cardinal Capital. Ms. Kapps prior
experience includes investor and employee relations management at media
conglomerates, inventory and accounts receivable administration in the apparel industry,
and office operations in financial services companies. She has over 30 years of
experience.
Joyce M.
Gallagher is an operations associate at Cardinal
Capital. Ms. Gallaghers prior experience includes having been a trading manager of
Lazard Freres & Co.s high yield bond department for five years. She was also
with Credit Suisse First Boston for five years as a sales assistant in the high yield and
municipal bond departments. Ms. Gallagher holds a BA from Saint Michael's College. |
